Innathe Chinthavishayam

Innathe Chinthavishayam-An eye opener for Malayalam Cinema

A long standing desire in my mind had been to go for a cinema in Calicut..This past two years hadn't really given me this oportunity..Blame it on the tight schedule(which actually aint so..am kinda exaggerating..)...The thing is that I am very choosy when it comes to movies and don't really end up going for most of them..So choosy that none of my buddies approve of my taste and hence I end up being single or go in for one with my family..
This past week,I made it a point to finaly go for one-Innathe Chinthavishyam, which had a huge star cast many of whom were my personal favourites in the field..Plus,the movie was scripted by Sathyan Anthikkad, who I consider is the architect of the Modern Malayalam cinema..The movie which lasted a little over two and a half hours was nice..In many ways, this was the best movie which had got released in the past two years.Based on a very relevent subject concerning Modern kerala, the human emotions have been portrayed brilliantly by the stars..
I had gone in on the 40th day since its release and there were around 80 people inside the hall which I heard was the biggest screen in the city and by far the best..The viewing public had simply lost the taste to apreciate good cinema...Most others which I wudn't like to name had run full houses for over 50 days and it was sad to see the plight of this one..Most of these so called SUPERHITS lost plot even 1 hour after the first scene..
Theres this friend of mine,an ardent movie buff recently dropped in for a movie which had been running to packed houses all over the state..This man had to come back home twice, prety dejected in not getting the tickets for the movie. So he had made it a point that he would give it another try..And..finally it was done..Huge expectations, our man stepped into the hall and the movie started..Not even an hour had passed by and he had come out..Dejected again!!Not for being unable to get the tickets, but for the fact that there was nothing in it..Nothing!!The only high point(if u could say),was an item number by a very kinky, scampily clad babe and the publichad made it a superhit..All thanks to that item number..
This is still existent and the viewing public have simply lost taste of GOOD Cinema..sad!!The people behind the thses movies make it a point to add some kinda spice into these works in the form of an item number and other stuff..What they dont realise is that they are ruining Cinema by alll this shitload..
Innathe chinthavishayam, according to me is truly an eye opener for the Malayalam Cinema Industry which is reeling under the crisis for its inability to produce GOOD,SENSIBLE CINEMA.....
